Marcam Engineering is a Materialise software company specialized on the development of professional software solutions for Additive Manufacturing Technologies.

Experience

Marcam Engineering was founded in 2001 as a spin-off from the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics (BIBA), which has been intensely involved with Rapid Technologies as a pioneer since 1989.

We own more than 20 years of experience in developing CAD/CAM software as well as practice on using Rapid Technologies, which covers all techniques like 3D printing, Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing.

Location

Marcam Engineering is located in the technology park of the University of Bremen in Germany.

Products

Under the product name VisCAM, Marcam Engineering developed and marketed standard data preparation software for Rapid Technologies. The VisCAM software line contained products for STL file fixing and editing as well as to prepare build data for Rapid Technologies. It was discontinued in 2013. With AutoFab we offer an optimised product for metal melting and sintering processes. For additive manufacturing using plastics Magics offers state-of-the art technology.

Services

We offer individual software development services for machine manufacturers, Rapid Manufacturing users as well as other software developers. This can range from customising of our standard products up to the development of new and independent software solutions. We furthermore offer our products as OEM systems or as components for integration into other software products.
