AutoFab: New software for Rapid Manufacturing applications

Bremen, 25.11.2008. Marcam Engineering GmbH, producer of the VisCAM software for data preparation for Rapid Technologies, has today introduced the new AutoFab software, which is a specific product for Rapid Manufacturing applications.

AutoFab is an extensive software solution to prepare manufacturing data for Rapid Manufacturing processes. The software is specifically developed for metal layer melting and sintering processes and has a clear focus on production-oriented applications. AutoFab is clearly structured and automated in many parts. The process-oriented workflow guides the user systematically through the system. Different user levels support the system usage with varying states of knowledge and help to reduce operating errors.

AutoFab offers sophisticated functions to prepare parts as well as to efficiently setup up build jobs. The system assists the user in all stages from the verification of imported CAD data to the generation of build-ready slice files.
